​How Royalty Splits Work

​When you submit a single, EP, or album through our platform, you can assign custom percentage splits (e.g., 50% Primary Artist, 25% Producer, 25% Featured Artist) along with each collaborator's email address.

​Our system automatically calculates, routes, and isolates every contributor’s share directly at the store reporting source. You never have to manually calculate earnings or send Venmo payments to your team.

​5 Steps to Receiving Your Payouts

​1. Release Submission & Split Allocation

​When submitting your project at [submit.bossedupdistribution.com/portal](https://submit.bossedupdistribution.com/portal), input the legal names, email addresses, and percentage splits for all collaborators in Section 3 (Songwriter & Royalty Splits).

​2. Accept the Email Invitation

​Once the release is processed by Quality Control, each listed collaborator will receive an automated email invitation containing a secure link to claim their split.

​If a collaborator already has a portal login, the split will attach to their existing balance automatically.

​If they are new to the platform, they will be prompted to create a free collaborator account.

​3. Complete Tax & Payout Setup

​To comply with global financial regulations, each contributor completes a 2-minute tax verification (W-9 for US residents or W-8BEN for international creators) and selects their preferred payout method:

​Direct Bank Deposit (ACH)

​PayPal

​Venmo

​International Wire Transfer (for overseas accounts)

​4. Track Earnings & Royalty Statements

​Royalties are posted to your account balance on a monthly schedule. Keep in mind that digital service providers (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, etc.) report earnings on a 30 to 90-day delay from the month the streams occurred (e.g., January streams are paid out in late March/April).

​5. Cash Out ($10 Minimum Threshold)

​Once a user’s balance reaches $10.00 USD, a "Cash Out" button becomes active inside their portal dashboard:

​Click Cash Out in your portal menu.

​Confirm your withdrawal amount.

​Funds are transferred to your bank account, PayPal, or Venmo within 1 to 3 business days.

​Essential Payout Rules & Policies

​Minimum Withdrawal: $10.00 USD (International wires require a $50.00 to $100.00 minimum threshold depending on bank region).

​Zero Admin Cut: Bossed Up Distribution takes 0% of your streaming revenue—100% of collected net master royalties go straight to your team.

​Account Autonomy: Main artists and collaborators can log in and request payouts independently at any time without needing approval from other split members.
